Locals rave about the authentic wood-fired oven that gives the pizza its distinctive smoky flavor and perfect crust texture. They especially appreciate the family's commitment to using only the freshest local ingredients and maintaining traditional recipes passed down through generations.
π½οΈ About PizzAmore
Just a short drive from Vasto, PizzAmore in Casalbordino has become my go-to spot when I’m craving authentic pizza without the tourist crowds. This family-run pizzeria captures everything I love about Italian dining – genuine hospitality, quality ingredients, and that unmistakable passion for food that you can taste in every bite.
The menu focuses on what they do best: traditional Neapolitan-style pizza with a perfectly charred crust and fresh, local toppings. Their Pizza Margherita DOP showcases San Marzano tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella at their finest, while the Pizza Diavola brings just the right amount of spicy salami heat. Beyond pizza, they serve excellent pasta dishes and a selection of local Abruzzese specialties that change with the seasons.
The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between casual and welcoming that Italians have mastered. Inside, you’ll find rustic wooden tables, warm lighting, and walls decorated with local photography. The open kitchen lets you watch the pizzaiolos work their magic, tossing dough with practiced ease while maintaining animated conversations with regular customers who clearly consider this their second home.
I always recommend PizzAmore to visitors who want to experience authentic Italian pizza culture away from the main tourist strips. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the portions generous, and the warmth of the family who runs it makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another customer. It’s worth the short trip from Vasto for an evening that feels genuinely Italian.

Beautiful atmosphere, excellent pizza and croissants and super service... why aren't you there already? Been there every day for 2 weeks and I was sad to leave them.
One word which is perfect
Terrible. Hot dogs with tough, inedible crusts, pizza with a rubbery crust served cold without warning that a new batch would be delivered shortly. We had a very long wait for the fried food, and then complained about the abundance of it because of the wait. Don't go there. Truly disappointed.
